Akhtem Seitablaev: A hero at the front and in the cinema - how an actor and director combines service and creativity
Akhtem Seitablayev is a famous Ukrainian actor and director of Crimean Tatar origin who, after the events of February 24, 2022, decided to devote himself to the service in the communications department of the headquarters of the Command of the Territorial Defense Forces. And although this seems like a glamorous position, in fact his state salary is only 21, 000 hryvnias per month.
A new front for Akhtem: work in the communications headquarters
After the start of the war with Russia, Seitablayev decided to actively participate in the defense of the country. His role in communications management includes capturing and filming events on the contact line, which he does professionally as a talented director. Akhtem is the artistic director of the unit, unofficially called "TrO Media". They create documentaries, educational programs, analytics and feature films, which are shown both in Ukraine and abroad.
"TrO Media" is not the official name of the unit, but we are writing a story that the whole world should see.
Financial side: challenges and additional income
Service in the territorial defense brings Seitablaev 21, 000 hryvnias every month, which, in his opinion, is not enough for life in Kyiv, especially for his family. However, the actor has other sources of income that help him stay afloat. These are his author's projects, consultations and teaching. Thanks to these additional sources, his total monthly income ranges from 35 to 50 thousand hryvnias.
Television success and patriotic projects
In addition to serving in the army, Akhtem Seitablayev is the host of the military-patriotic talk show "Brave Hearts" on the "1+1" TV channel. This show is another example of his dedication and patriotism. He also holds the position of director of the Crimean House state enterprise, which makes him a real hero not only on the battlefield, but also in the cultural space of Ukraine.
