In Ukraine, a new star appeared on the beauty sky - Alina Ponomarenko, a 20-year-old Odesa resident, became the winner of the title "Miss Universe Ukraine" 2024. Her path to the crown was filled not only with glamour, but also with charity and modeling.
From a lawyer to a beauty queen
Alina Ponomarenko, a graduate of the Odesa Law Academy, received a diploma in International Justice and Law. However, her true passion has always been related to fashion and beauty. As a child, she participated in various beauty contests and dreamed of a big podium.
Charity mission: "Tree of love"
However, the glamorous life is not the only thing that the new beauty queen lives by. Alina is the founder of the "Tree of Love" charitable initiative, which helps the elderly in Odessa. She and her team provide them with medicine, food and basic necessities. But their attention and support in everyday affairs are most appreciated.
"I consider helping others to be my main mission, " Alina shares in her blog.
Blood donation and support of the Armed Forces
Alina Ponomarenko is also actively engaged in blood donation, talking about the importance of this step in her blog. In addition, it organizes fund-raising to provide the soldiers of the Armed Forces with the necessary things.
"After the full-scale invasion, the need for donated blood only increased. My blood type is rare, and that's why I share it and talk about the importance of such a voluntary donation, " Ponomarenko notes.
Sports, hobbies and personal life
On her Instagram page, Alina often shares her active lifestyle. She is engaged in rhythmic gymnastics, yoga, and in her spare time reads, writes poems and plays the piano.
Future: Miss Universe in Mexico
Ahead of Alina is an even more significant event - she will represent Ukraine at the Miss Universe 2024 contest in Mexico. Will she be able to conquer the hearts of the international audience in the same way as the Ukrainian one? We will find out soon!
