The German agency Highsnobiety has published a dozen promising rap artists from around the world. The rating also included Ukrainian singer Alena Savranenko, better known under the pseudonym Alyona Alyona.
Highsnobiety noted that Ukrainian rapper has come a long way before becoming popular. For many years, Elena Savranenko tried herself in various professions: from a school teacher to a cashier.
"Her ironic videos with scenes of jet skiing and rap with friends have gained millions of views, proving that big rap can really overcome language barriers," the publication said.
Elena Savranenko's rap was defined as fast, rhythmic and charismatic, with countless pitch changes and commercials that are guaranteed to remain in memory.
In addition to Alyona Alyona, the list included such performers: Hawa, Le Juiice, Jean Grae, Maluca Mala, Jean Deaux, Lady Shocker, Chinese Kitty, Shaybo and Tokischa.
