Andrii Khlyvniuk: a new life amid the war and drones in service
War changes people. For Andriy Khlyvnyuk, the leader of the Boombox band, this process became not only a test, but also a new stage in his life. When he came to the defense of Ukraine in 2022, his life changed dramatically, and now he is learning new skills: working with UAVs, planning missions and coordinating work with intelligence.
Growing up on the battlefield
The changes that brought with them new responsibilities did not bypass the external side of Andrii's life. "A gray beard and a little more boredom", — this is how Khlyvniuk describes himself today. However, he said, the real challenge is to remain yourself among the millions who are currently in the service.
"Now I have more important work to do, " he emphasizes.
Youth in military uniform
Andriy pays special attention to young people who joined the service immediately after school. He celebrates their heroism, but also worries that the war may become their entire life, leaving little room for other perspectives. Khlyvniuk urges them not to forget about opportunities for learning and developing new skills.
"I really want to tell them: 'Learn something, '" he shares.
New horizons and challenges
Now that ``Boombox'' has temporarily remained in the shadows, Andriy is focused on fulfilling his duties in the Armed Forces. It is not known when exactly he will return to his musical career, but it is already clear: he will return changed, with new experience and, perhaps, new ideas for creativity.
