Angelina Jolie: From doubt to triumph as opera diva Maria Callas
American actress and director Angelina Jolie showed remarkable fortitude when she decided to play the role of the legendary opera singer Maria Callas in a new biographical film. This decision turned out to be a real challenge for Jolie, because she was faced with insecurities about her vocal abilities due to the words of her former partner.
From doubts to determination
In a recent interview, Jolie shared that she used to be unsure if she should sing. "It was an experience like I wasn't myself. After all, I don't sing. There was a person in my life who didn't respond very well to my singing. It was our relationship. Because of that, I just decided that I can't sing." – admitted the actress.
"I studied at a theater school, so it's strange that it affected me. I just accepted the opinion of that person. So I had to overcome a lot of difficulties to dare to sing, " added Jolie.
Shame and learning
Special singing lessons and constant shyness during preparation became a serious test for Jolie. She admitted that it was one of the most difficult stages in her career. But her determination and desire for excellence overcame all obstacles.
Return to work
Angelina also explained the reasons for her long break in her career. It was only after her children were grown that she was able to return to work. "They have grown up a bit and become more independent. Now they need me less, so I can leave them for a certain time. They are old enough to join me at work. This is a new stage in our lives, " Jolie concluded.
Angelina Jolie once again proved that even the strongest of us have the right to doubt, but only true determination helps to overcome them and reach new heights.
