Why did Sofia Rotaru refuse to act in the film about Nazariy Yaremchuk? Maria Yaremchuk reveals the details

Ukrainian singer Maria Yaremchuk shared interesting details about the creation of the film "Yaremchuk: Incomparable World of Beauty", dedicated to her father, the legendary singer Nazarii Yaremchuk. The premiere of the tape took place on August 8, but it was not without unexpected refusals from key persons.

Sofia Rotaru's refusal: what got in the way?

Maria Yaremchuk admitted that she intended to invite the famous singer Sofia Rotara, who worked with her father in the 1970s, to participate in the film. According to Maria, Rotaru and Yaremchuk were among the first to perform the works of Volodymyr Ivasyuk, which made their careers particularly connected.

"I invited Sofya Mykhailivna, talked with her son. However, we did not receive a favorable response, I don't know for what reasons, " Maria Yaremchuk admitted.

Other refusals: Vasyl Zinkevich and Levko Dutkivskyi

In addition to Sofia Rotaru, the singer and actor Vasyl Zinkevich and the late founder of the "Smerichka" ensemble Levko Dutkivskyi also refused to participate in the film. According to Maria, Zinkevich's refusal was expected, because the performer has been avoiding public appearances for a long time.

"Zinkevych, in principle, refuses public appearances. I don't think that there is any story with us personally, " the artist said.

As for Levko Dutkivskyi, he explained his refusal by his health condition, which does not allow him to emotionally experience such moments.

"I spent hours talking on the phone with Levko Tarasovych. He told me all the stories, but due to his health he could not film, " added Maria Yaremchuk.

Maria Yaremchuk continues to work on preserving the memory of her father through creativity. Although the refusal of such significant figures as Sofia Rotaru and Vasyl Zinkevich was unexpected, it did not prevent the creation of a touching film, which has already received the first positive reviews of the audience and critics.
