In an unexpected twist, the Ukrainian theater scene has welcomed its youngest star. Evhenko, the one-year-old son of renowned actor Oleksiy Nahrudnyi and Svitlana Horoshkova, has captivated audiences with his charming debut in the play "Pahomets" at the Lesia Ukrainka Theatre.

A Star is Born

The toddler took to the stage in a role that seems tailor-made for him, portraying the character Bobby with a natural ease that belies his age. His calm demeanor onstage, especially when clutching his toy, has left theater-goers in awe. Stas Boklan, a celebrated actor and special guest of the production, expressed sheer delight at sharing the stage with such a young talent.

"Working with Evhenko is a unique experience. His presence brings a vibrant energy to the performance, " Boklan commented.

An Unforgettable Performance

The play, based on Jez Butterworth's acclaimed work, is a gripping family saga directed by Kirill Kashlikov. With its roots on the stages of London’s West End and New York’s Broadway, the adaptation in Ukraine maintains its compelling narrative and high production value. Oleksandr Kobzar delivers a standout performance as Quinn Carney, a character tormented by a haunting past and portrayed with intense authenticity.

The Nahrudnyi Family's Theatrical Legacy

Adding to the familial flair, Evhenko's older brother, 17-year-old Oleksandr Horoshkov, also graces the stage as Declan Corcoran. The Nahrudnyi family's involvement in this production has added a layer of intrigue and depth, drawing audiences eager to witness this unique theatrical phenomenon.

As the play continues to receive critical acclaim, there is a growing anticipation for its recognition by Ukrainian theatrical awards. The successful debut of Evhenko alongside industry stalwarts like Boklan and Kobzar promises a bright future for this captivating production.
