Junior Eurovision 2024: Ukrainian talents have a chance to shine in Madrid

The day before, the acceptance of applications for participation in Junior Eurovision 2024 officially started. This event will be an opportunity for young Ukrainian vocalists to take a big step towards future success.

New opportunities for talented children

This year's competition brought several important innovations. Now both solo performers and groups of up to 6 people can participate. This greatly expands the opportunities for gifted children. Applications will be accepted until July 3.

Conditions of participation

Young talents aged 9 to 14 can participate. To do this, you need to send a video recording of a live performance of two covers of famous songs in different styles, as well as a video business card. If desired, you can add an author's composition that lasts up to 3 minutes. However, this will not affect the passage to the finals.

Selection and summer "star school"

The jury will select 15 participants who will go to the next stage - summer "star school". The jury will include three representatives of the music industry. After the completion of the "star school", experts will choose 6 finalists of the National Selection, with whom they will prepare numbers for the final performance in September.

Final and selection of the winner

The final will be held online in September. The winner will be chosen by three members of the jury and the audience. Junior Eurovision 2024 will be held in Madrid, but the exact date has not yet been announced.

A special story

A special event already happened this year - a 12-year-old Ukrainian refugee girl made it to the finals of the Dutch national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. This once again emphasizes that talent and perseverance can overcome any obstacles.

"This is a unique opportunity for our children to show their talents on the international stage and gain invaluable experience, " the organizers say.
