Documentary about Dmytro Kotsyubail: the story of a real hero

The world of fashion has its heroes, but real heroes live among us. One of them is Dmytro Kotsyubailo, known by the nickname "Da Vinci". Born in Prykarpattia, he studied painting in Ivano-Frankivsk. His path to the title of Hero of Ukraine began during the Revolution of Dignity, when he defended justice on the Maidan.

From the Maidan to the front

Dmytro Kotsyubailo did not stop there. With the beginning of the war, he, an 18-year-old volunteer, went to the front. In 2021, his efforts were awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine. And in the spring of 2022, his assault company was transformed into a separate assault battalion "Da Vinci Wolves", which participated in many battles, including the last battle for Bakhmut in the spring of 2023.

Creation of a documentary chronicle

The director Volodymyr Sydko created the documentary film "Da Vinci" based on the memories of Dmytro's relatives and brothers, including Valery Zaluzhny, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The film contains unique footage that has not been published before.

"This film is not just a biography, it is a living story of an outstanding Ukrainian, " said Sydko.

The documentary "Da Vinci" will not leave any viewer indifferent. It shows the life path of Dmytro Kotsyubail with all its dramatic and warm moments. The film inspires and makes you think about the true value of life and heroism. This project is not only about war, but also about humanity and devotion to one's country.
