In the center of Kyiv, in one of the most luxurious new centers of Ukraine, a unique documentary was presented, which tells about the heroic work of the editor of the front-line newspaper "Zorya" from Zolochiv, Kharkiv region. The main character of the film was Vasyl Myroshnyk, who every week personally delivers a copy of the newspaper to populated areas, in particular front-line villages, which are under the watchful eye of Russian snipers.

Editor's story on the edge

The film, created by the team of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NSJU), attracted the attention of many fellow journalists. Vasyl Myroshnyk risks his life every day, but continues to fulfill his mission - to inform Ukrainians about events on the frontline territory. This is a true story of indomitability and dedication to one's work.

Important mission of journalists

At the presentation of the film, the head of the NSJU, Serhiy Tomilenko, noted:

"We decided to show this film right in the center of "Parkovy" to honor the journalists from front-line newspapers."

Invited editors from Kherson, Mykolaiv, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions also received thanks from the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy and awards from the NSJU for their important work.

State support

After the screening of the film, Yaroslav Yurchyshyn, head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Freedom of Speech, presented Vasyl Myroshnyk with an honorary certificate of the Verkhovna Rada. He emphasized the importance of supporting the frontline press, noting:

"It is important to provide people not only with physical protection (weapons), but also with information."

Conclusions and forecasts

The resumption of frontline newspapers is an important step to maintain morale and inform citizens in the war zone. The story of Vasyl Myroshnyk reminds us of the strength of the human spirit and the importance of truth in the conditions of war. This event highlights the need to create special support programs for journalists working in extremely difficult conditions.
