Drama surrounding the film about Nazariy Yaremchuk: Sofia Rotaru refused to participate

On August 8, the film "Yaremchuk: Incomparable World of Beauty" dedicated to the famous Ukrainian singer Nazariy Yaremchuk appeared on the big screens. However, despite the efforts of his daughter Maria Yaremchuk, some stars of the Ukrainian scene refused to participate.

Sofia Rotaru's refusal: mysterious reasons

Maria Yaremchuk, who acted as the film's producer, tried to involve Sofia Rotara in the project to talk about joint creativity with her father. After all, their performances with Volodymyr Ivasyuk's hits in the 70s were iconic for Ukrainian music. However, Maria's efforts were in vain.

"I invited Sofia Mykhailivna, talked to her son. However, we did not receive a favorable response, I don't know for what reasons, " - admits Maria Yaremchuk.

Difficulties on the way to the premiere

The filming process lasted almost three years, and was complicated by the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The refusal to participate in the film concerns not only Sofia Rotaru. Vasyl Zinkevich also refused due to his reluctance to appear in public, and the founder of VIA "Smerichka" Levko Dutkivskyi could not participate due to his health.

Historical context and significance of the project

The film "Red Ruta" and the aesthetics of the 70s unite Nazariya Yaremchuk and Sofia Rotara. They were the first performers of Volodymyr Ivasyuk's works, which made their careers unforgettable. Rotaru's refusal to appear in the film raises the question whether it is a personal decision of the star or external circumstances.

Future perspectives and conclusions

Despite the difficulties, the film about Nazarii Yaremchuk is already collecting the first reviews and has great potential to become a cultural event of the year. The refusal of some artists could not stop Maria Yaremchuk in her desire to honor her father's memory and convey his legacy to new generations.
