Jamala and Pianoboy revived Nazari Yaremchuk's hits in a new album
Ukrainian stars Jamala and Pianoboy present a new album of covers of hits by the legendary Nazariy Yaremchuk. This musical project was called "Re: Yaremchuk" and is timed to the release of the documentary film "Yaremchuk: Incomparable World of Beauty", which promises to interest both old fans and new audiences.
Jamala brought "Smile at Me" to life
Jamala chose for her rendition the song "Smile to me", which has not been heard in the last 10 years. The singer explains her choice by the fact that the lyrics of this song really impressed her:
"Thymes have blossomed further"... These are such poetic and relevant terms that resonate with our current state. We must know our history."
Jamala admits that when creating her version, she tried not to harm the original, but added her character and modernized the sound.
Pianoboy and "Two Rings"
Pianoboy, known for his romantic style, chose the song "Two Rings" by Volodymyr Ivasyuk for his cover, which he made even warmer and nostalgic. Dmytro Shurov, frontman of Pianoboy, said:
"I wanted to make my version even more romantic and warmer than the original. It's like watching a dream about beautiful times, which will no longer be there, but which will always live somewhere near the heart."
Musical heritage of Nazariy Yaremchuk
The album "Re: Yaremchuk" consists of 11 songs, each of which received a new sound performed by modern artists. The collection was produced by the daughter of Nazariya Yaremchuk, Maria, who is also a co-producer of the documentary film "Yaremchuk: The Incomparable World of Beauty".
