The bassoonist from the TNMK band revealed the complexities of his relationship with his brother, who is nostalgic for the USSR
Musician and frontman of the band "TNMK" Oleg Mykhailiuta, better known as Fagot, shared his difficult relationship with his brother, who lives in Kharkiv. Despite daily Russian attacks, Fagot's brother continues to be nostalgic for Soviet times.
Nostalgia for the USSR: Complex family relationships
Fagot said that after the collapse of the USSR, his older brother was unable to adapt to the new realities of life. In Soviet times, he had everything "on top of things", but changes in the country became an insurmountable obstacle for him.
War and communication breakdown
After the start of the war, Fagot stopped all contact with his brother. The reason is that the brother could not admit his mistakes even when Kharkiv is under shelling every day.
"He lives in nostalgia. In the USSR, everything was fine for him, but then he couldn't adapt. You can understand everyone, but he can't admit his mistakes. When a rocket flies into your district, when your native Kharkiv leveled with the ground, and you cannot admit that you were wrong - I will not help you, " the artist shared.
TNMK: Aid to the military
We will remind you that the TNMK group did not remain aloof from the war. They collected 2 million hryvnias to support the Ukrainian military, demonstrating their active citizenship.
