The organizers of the "12th Week of Austrian Cinema" announced the successful completion of this unique event, which not only introduced Ukrainians to Austrian culture, but also raised funds to support Ukraine.

Opening with a big heart

This year's festival, held by the Embassy of the Republic of Austria together with the Arthouse Traffic film company, took place in five cities of Ukraine: Kyiv, Dnipro, Chernivtsi, Lviv and Vinnytsia. The event gathered about 1, 000 moviegoers.

Important support from AMIC ENERGY

The general partner of the festival, the Austrian gas station chain AMIC ENERGY, doubled the amount equivalent to box office fees for the second time, transferring it to the needs of the Armed Forces.

"We are glad that our participation in this event helped not only to draw attention to the European film industry, but also to support an important charitable initiative, " said Günther Mayer, managing director and shareholder of AMIC ENERGY.

Serhiy Prytula: cinema helps the army

The collected funds were transferred to the Serhiy Prytula Foundation for the purchase of Starlink terminals for the military.

"Now all our efforts should be directed to help the Defense Forces. And even culture and cinema can support the Ukrainian Army, " Serhiy Prytula said.

Further screening of films

After the end of the film festival, viewers can watch several films in selected cinemas of Ukraine, including "The Devil's Bath" and "The Whole Life".
