After the wild success of the first season and an equally dynamic second season, "Squid Game" creator Hwang Dong-hyuk announced that the third season will be the final season for the series.

End of an Era: Why Will The Squid Game End?

In a new interview, Hwang stated that there are no more storylines worth telling about Deadly Games and the hero Gi Hoon. According to the director, he expressed everything he wanted to convey through the story of this unique character.

"When I was working on the third season finale, I came to the conclusion that this would be the end of the story, " Hwang said.

Gi Hoon: The Hero Who Changed Forever

Gi Hoon's character, played by Lee Jung Jae, went through a series of transformations. The changes he experienced were not only physical, but also emotional.

"He's been through too much, seen too much death, to go back to the way he was before, " Hwang explained.

Actor Lee Jung-jae confirmed that his character in the second season is completely different from the first. This adds new nuances to the perception of history.

The future of "Squid Games"
