Gennadiy Popenko: "Difficult times showed true patriots of their country"
The famous Ukrainian actor and host of the "Lost World" program Hennadiy Popenko recently shared his opinion about the stars who went abroad during the war in Ukraine.

Popenko openly expressed his disappointment with colleagues who left the country in the most difficult times. According to him, such artists do not deserve attention in the information space.
"I don't want to talk about disappointment in my colleagues, because I don't want to mention these people. I have a lot of disappointments. There are people who haven't been heard from for two or three years, and now they have returned to Ukraine as if nothing had happened. And I don't want to know anything about them at all. I think that if a person does not exist, then society has drawn certain conclusions: who is Ukrainian, and who is under a big question, " Popenko explained.
Passion for real patriots
Instead, the actor expressed his admiration for those colleagues who, having no military experience, took up arms and defended Ukraine. He singled out Andriy Fedinchyk, Volodymyr Rashchuk and Oleg Sentsov in particular.
"And people like Andriy Fedinchyk, Volodymyr Rashchuk, Oleg Sentsov, who were not super fighters and did not attend military departments, did not study anything specifically, but now work as the best stormtroopers in serious units, they are impressive. And I thank them for their work, " he added.

We will remind that Gennady Popenko was mobilized in the summer of 2022 and served in the 59th separate mechanized brigade for a year and a half. Currently, he is part of the Cultural Landing, which unites servicemen who, before serving in the Armed Forces, were engaged in art and cultural activities.
The war in Ukraine showed who is a true patriot of his country, and who is only enjoying its benefits. Popenko urges to draw conclusions and not forget about those who really defend their homeland.
