Iryna Fedyshyn spoke about the emotional meeting with Valery Zaluzhny before the charity tour
Popular Ukrainian singer Iryna Fedyshyn shared fascinating details of her meeting with the legendary general Valery Zaluzhny before the start of her charity tour of America and Canada.
An emotional meeting in Kyiv
Iryna Fedyshyn, together with her husband, producer Vitaly Chovnyk, specially came from Lviv to Kyiv to meet Valery Zaluzhny. The star noted that the general made an incredible impression on her with his sensitivity and openness.
"I came away from him under an incredible impression. It's probably not for nothing that our people love him so much - he really is a person with a big heart, " the singer admitted.
Charity mission
Iryna Fedyshyn actively supports the ZSU, organizing charity concerts around the world. During her performances, she not only collects funds from the sale of tickets, but also holds auctions where she sells souvenir products signed by Zaluzhny.
General support
Zaluzhny gladly agreed to sign 26 flags for Fedyshyn's concerts, as well as three paintings and several shell casings, which the family brought from eastern Ukraine. The singer admitted that she was a little worried because of the number of items, but Valeriy Fedorovych was understanding.
"Valery Fedorovych was very responsive to our request to meet. He agreed to our proposal right away: 'Iro, I'll sign everything'. And when Vitaliy put three paintings and several casings on the table, he said: 'No questions, let's go'."
Plans for the future
After a successful tour of America and Canada, where 300 thousand dollars were collected to help the front, the singer's team bought 60 cars for the military. In July, Iryna plans to continue her charity tours, this time visiting Portugal and the Czech Republic.
"Yesterday, I wrote to Valery Fedorovych, shared the results of the trip to the USA, thanked him very much... He wrote me back that we are great guys. He advised me to rest a little."
About her next tour, she also asked Zaluzhny to sign new lots, to which he again agreed without any hesitation.
