Ivan Reon is again in the role of a villain: the new series about Ancient Rome challenges "Game of Thrones"
Ivan Rheon, the famous British actor who won the hearts of the audience with his role as Ramsay Bolton in "Game of Thrones", is ready to impress fans again with a new project. This time he immerses himself in the atmosphere of Ancient Rome in the series "Those Who Die".
Rheon returns as the villain Tenax
After the impressive role of Ramsay Bolton, who became one of the most hated antagonists in the cinema, Ivan Rheon once again tries on the image of the villain. In the new drama, he plays Tenax, the manipulative owner of a gambling company who puts the lives of gladiators on the line.
"There's an ambition and a brutality that they both seem to share, but they come from very, very different places, " Rheon explains, referring to the differences between Ramsay Bolton and Tenax.
Grandiose drama about Rome
The series "Those Who Die" takes us to the first century AD, revealing two main storylines. The first tells about horsemen who seek glory in the gladiatorial arena, and the second - about a woman who tries to save her three children from slavery.
The role of Emperor Vespasian, who is ill and thinking about passing the throne to one of his sons, is performed by the legendary Anthony Hopkins.
Sports as the main entertainment of Rome
The series focuses on sports, which are the main source of entertainment for the Romans. Spectators will be able to see chariot races and exciting gladiator fights, which occupy a large part of the screen time. Tenax, Rheon's character, seeks to cement his place in the elite of society through his bookmaking company, which adds intrigue to the plot.
The new series promises to be no less exciting than its predecessor "Game of Thrones" and is already causing a lot of discussion among movie fans.
