Kamaliya, the renowned Ukrainian singer, is navigating the emotional complexities of being apart from her daughters, Arabella and Mirabella, who currently reside in the United Kingdom with their father, Pakistani businessman Mohammad Zahoor.

The Decision Behind the Distance

In the aftermath of her divorce from Zahoor, Kamaliya's daughters have remained in the UK for their education and safety, a decision heavily influenced by Zahoor's adherence to Muslim customs which dictate that children stay with their father. Kamaliya initially agreed, concerned for her daughters' safety amidst the unfolding war in Ukraine.

"Zahoor expressed his concerns about the war, stating he couldn't risk their safety, " Kamaliya shared, reflecting on the challenging decision to keep the girls in London.

A Mother's Heartache

Kamaliya admits the separation hasn't been easy. Daily video calls have become their lifeline, bridging the geographical divide, while Kamaliya visits them whenever possible. Despite the distance, the girls find opportunities to visit Kyiv, enjoying moments in the home they grew up in.

"Living apart is tough as a mother. We speak multiple times a day when schedules allow, " the singer confessed, highlighting her efforts to maintain a close bond.

Growing Closer Despite the Miles

Interestingly, this distance has fostered a stronger bond between Kamaliya and her daughters. Arabella and Mirabella, now 11, often share small grievances about their father, underscoring the typical dynamics of family life. Despite the separation, Kamaliya ensures their connection remains intact.

"The girls have become closer to me. They even express a desire to live with me, " Kamaliya noted with a mix of pride and longing.

As Kamaliya continues her journey through fame and motherhood, these challenges reflect a universal narrative of love, sacrifice, and resilience.
