In the midst of a brewing scandal at Kyiv National University of Theatre, Cinema and Television, acclaimed Ukrainian actress Kateryna Kuznetsova has stepped forward to share her insights and experiences. The controversy centers around allegations against instructors Anatolii Bilous and Yurii Vysotsky, accused of sexual misconduct and psychological abuse.

Kateryna Kuznetsova's Revelation

Kuznetsova, a well-known figure in Ukrainian cinema, took to Instagram to express her views. Having joined the university in 2004, she studied under notable figures like Borys Vozniuk. However, her experience diverges from the current claims.

"I never encountered harassment or improper propositions from male professors, " shared Kuznetsova. "Nonetheless, my heart goes out to all those affected. I stand ready to support them."

A Call for Change

The actress went beyond personal experiences, highlighting systemic issues within the institution. She criticized the dismissive attitude of some admission staff who blamed students for provoking such behavior through their attire.

"I want to address the women at the admissions who claim we provoked the teachers... imagine if it were your children or grandchildren, " she urged.

The State of the University

Kuznetsova painted a bleak picture of the university's facilities, describing dilapidated buildings and unsafe conditions. She emphasized the need for substantial reforms to transform the educational environment.

"Entering the dormitory felt like a step into despair, " she recounted, noting the unsafe living conditions students faced.

Looking Toward the Future

Her message ends with a strong call for action, expressing gratitude to those who speak out and emphasizing the necessity for change. Kuznetsova's words resonate as a powerful plea for a better future for students in Ukraine's artistic institutions.
