20 years after the release of the cult comedy "Friday the Plague", Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis meet again on the set to create a sequel. A new movie titled Freakier Friday is gearing up to hit the screens on August 8, 2025, creating a buzz among fans.

The legendary duo is back

It is not surprising that fans are already looking forward to seeing their favorite actresses in the familiar roles of mother and daughter. The comedy duo of Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, who stunned the audience in 2003, promises to make the new film even more exciting.

"We are very excited to work together again and bring joy to our fans, " Lindsay Lohan said on her Instagram.

New faces and old friends

As in the first film, famous actors Chad Michael Murray, Mark Harmon and others will return to their roles. The plot will develop around already familiar characters, but with the addition of new faces, such as Anna's daughter and her stepdaughter. This sets the stage for even more family chaos, where comical situations intertwine with emotional moments.

Director's vision and script

Nisha Ganatra, who is known for her work in the field of comedy films, took the director's chair of the sequel. The screenplay for the new "Plague Friday" was written by Jordan Weiss, and produced by Andrew Gunn and Christine Burr, which adds confidence to the quality of the upcoming picture.

What to expect from the new tape?

The sequel promises to be no less exciting and emotional than the original. It will not only tell about a new round of magical body-swapping adventures, but also explore the dynamics of intergenerational relationships.

Expectations are high for Freakier Friday, and it's already safe to say that it will be one of the most talked about premieres of the year.
