The magic of Junior Eurovision 2024: Lists of participants from Ukraine are open!
Ukraine has announced the participants of Junior Eurovision 2024
On Wednesday, July 24, "Suspilne" announced the names of the participants of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024.
This year, 15 talented children aged 8 to 14 will compete for the honor of representing Ukraine on the European stage in Madrid. The choice was not easy, because the number of applications reached a record 309! The expert council, which included TAYANNA, Michelle Andrade and Yevhen Khmara, will determine six finalists who will compete for victory in the final.
First stage: Selection and "star school"
This year's selection procedure has been improved. For the first stage of the selection of participants, the children had to send two covers and a video presentation. After getting to the longlist, all 15 participants will attend a summer "star school" at the Ukrainian Radio Recording House. There they will improve their skills in vocals, acting and choreography.
Finalists and preparation for the final
After intensive training, the six finalists will be prepared for performances by singer Svitlana Tarabarova, producer Yevhen Triplov (author's songs) and choreographer Yevhen Kot (stage productions). The final of the National Selection will take place in September in the format of a televised concert. The grand finalist will be chosen by 3 members of the jury and the audience.
Quote from Svetlana Tarabarova
"A lot of things are a first for me: for the first time a record number of applications, for the first time a new expanded format of the National Selection, for the first time a young father Yevhen Kot and a talented producer Yevhen Triplov joined the team. However, the high level of contestants and the incredible difficulty in selecting the participants of the longlist remain unchanged."
Final in Madrid
The final of the international Junior Eurovision 2024 contest will take place on November 16 at the Caja Mágica arena in Madrid, Spain. This competition is expected to be one of the highlights of the year thanks to talented young performers from all over Europe.
