Maxim Devizorov, a renowned Ukrainian actor, known for his roles in popular series like "Myrnyi 21" and "Novynka, " has taken on a new and challenging role off-screen. In 2022, Devizorov exchanged scripts for service in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, standing resolutely on the front lines. Now, he is back with a mission that is both personal and profound.

A New Mission: Creating the Veterans Theater

Devizorov recently transitioned to TRO Media, a unit where he is engaged in a groundbreaking project—the creation of a Veterans Theater. Under the guidance of Colonel Dmytrashkivsky and curated by Akhtem Seitablayev, this theater aims to provide a sanctuary for veterans who have faced the harsh realities of war. "It's a huge blessing to be part of creating such a place, " Devizorov shares, emphasizing the importance of offering a safe space for those who have served.

"Here, warriors who have seen the worst can come and feel safe. They will be heard, " – Devizorov reveals.

The Challenges on the Battlefield

Reflecting on his time in the combat zones of Donetsk and Kharkiv, Maxim admits the difficulty of military life, particularly the constant danger of moving between positions. "Choosing just one task as the hardest is tough, " he states. The unpredictability and the need for constant vigilance are mentally taxing, as danger can come from any direction.

"You never know where it might hit from—below, above, or the side, " he confesses.

The Struggle of Returning Home

Beyond the battlefield, Devizorov candidly discusses the challenge of reintegrating into civilian life. The stark transformation of values and the absence of familiar faces make this transition particularly hard. Simplicity in human kindness and support has become the core value, a realization that resonates deeply with many veterans.

"Returning to normal life is extremely hard—often there's no longer the circle you considered yours, " he remarks.

As Maxim Devizorov continues to navigate his life between the stage and service, his latest endeavor promises to be a beacon of hope and healing for veterans across Ukraine.
