Marvel hits the villains: the new trailer for "Thunderbolts"

Goodbye, good guys and girls! Marvel Studios has decided to change the rules of the game, and now the villains are coming to the fore. A new trailer for the superhero action film "Thunderbolts" was released on Marvel Entertainment's YouTube channel and has already collected more than 9 million views in less than a day.

A team with an impeccable reputation

In the center of the plot is a team of superheroes with an impeccable reputation. The US government sends them on a secret mission, and judging by the trailer, the team's relationship will be complicated.

Olena Belova: the new star of Marvel

Most of the attention in the trailer is given to Olena Belova, one of the Black Widows, played by Florence Pugh. The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Ghost (Anna John-Kayman), Red Guard (David Garbor), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) will act side by side with her.

Famous actors on the front lines

The film will also feature Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Wyatt Russell, who will play a character named US Agent. Harrison Ford, Laurence Fishburne and Rachel Weisz joined the cast.

Director and Writers: Marvel Team Spirit

The film will be directed by Jake Schreier, known for his work on the films "Robot and Frank", "Strife", "Paper Cities". Based on the comics by Kurt Busiek and Mark Bagley, the screenplay was written by Eric Pearson, who has already worked with Marvel on Thor: Ragnarok and Black Widow. Kevin Feige is producing the project.

Comparison with competitors

The film "Thunderbolts" is already being compared to the successful release of rivals from DC "Suicide Squad" and the cult "Fight Club" by David Fincher through the song Where Is My Mind? of the band Pixies, which sounds in the trailer.

Expected release

The picture will be released worldwide in May 2025 and will be the 36th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In Ukraine, the film will appear on May 1, 2025. The dubbed trailer has not yet been released.
