Natalia Vasko, the famous actress from the movie "Dove's Nest", made an unexpected choice at the most difficult moment of her life. Four days after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, instead of evacuating, she took her beloved Andrii Shestov by the hand and went to the church in Chervonograd.
Church rite instead of RAC
The couple had already lived together for several years, but did not officially sign a contract due to a misunderstanding with Shestov's first wife, who could not come to terms with the divorce. The unknown about Andrii's mobilization to the army pushed them to the decision to become husband and wife before God.
"It was our way to strengthen our relationship in this unpredictable time, " Nataliya Vasko shared.
Official relations and new challenges
Only at the beginning of 2023, Natalia and Andrey officially registered their marriage. This step became not only a formality, but also a symbol of their stability and mutual support in times of difficulty.
Valentina Khamayko and Andrii Onistrat: Ten years together
Another popular couple, Valentina Khamayko and Andrii Onistrat, also took their time to formalize their relationship. Having met at a social event, they kept their feelings against the background of difficult previous marriages. After ten years of living together and the birth of four children, they decided to officially legitimize their relationship before Andriy returned to the army.
"We decided that our children should feel stable and protected, and an official marriage will help in this, " said Valentyna Hamaiko.
Olga Freymut and Oleksandr Rakoyed: Romance with the director
Few people know that during the interval between the relationship with the Englishman and the general director of the New Channel, Olga Freimut had an affair with the director of Channel 5 Oleksandr Rakoyed. Their relationship did not reach an official marriage, but the couple got married in the church.
