Elena Lavrenyuk's Unexpected "VIA Gra" Audition Tale
In a world where auditions often hold the promise of fame and fortune, Elena Lavrenyuk's tale of her "VIA Gra" audition takes an unexpected turn. The actress, celebrated for her role in "DZIDZIO: Kontрабас", recently unveiled an intriguing chapter from her past.
A Curious Invitation to Audition
It all began when the management of "VIA Gra", a renowned musical group, stumbled upon her photographs. Lavrenyuk's mother owned a quaint hotel and restaurant near Lviv, a frequent stopover for artists. Proud of her daughter, she adorned the establishment with Elena's pictures.
"One of the band's managers noticed my photos and showed them to Konstantin Meladze. That's how I got invited to audition in Kyiv, " Lavrenyuk recalls.
An Unusual Casting Call
The audition itself was far from conventional. Held in a car, the actress was quizzed on her singing and dancing skills and even her academic pursuits. It was an unusual setting for such a significant opportunity.
A Veiled Proposal
However, the day took a surprising twist. Just as she was preparing for her train journey home, one of the managers made a suggestive proposal.
"They asked if I wanted to stay and visit a sauna. It was clear there was more to it, " she recounts with a hint of disbelief.
Elena politely declined the offer, choosing instead to head to the train station—a decision that would steer her away from the music industry and towards a successful acting career.
Reflections on Choices and Destiny
This peculiar episode remains a mere footnote in Lavrenyuk's life. Her story serves as a reminder of the unpredictable paths auditions can take and the power of choice in defining one's destiny. As she reflects on this past encounter, it's evident that her decision to pursue acting was the right one.
