The musician received the chevrons of the "Charter" brigade. Yevhen Turchynov and Oleksandr Merenchuk, members of the group, studied together with him. Serhii Zhadan announced his decision to undergo training in the brigade at the end of May. Brigade fighters liberated Kharkiv Oblast in September 2022.
