Shocking Story of 'The Bachelor' Star Terent Budko's Injury on the Frontline
Oleksandr (Terent) Budko, a military man, blogger, and the main star of the popular TV show 'The Bachelor, ' has shared shocking details about the severe injury he sustained on the frontline.
The Unexpected Strike on August 24, 2022
Budko recounted the eerie circumstances under which he was injured. His unit was the only one stationed in the village, and no other attacks had occurred before or after the incident.
"We were the only group working from that village, so there was no one else around. Nothing had hit the area before, and nothing has hit it since. The only time something did, it landed right in the trench where I was lying. It's still unknown what exactly hit us, " Budko explained.
The Intolerable Pain
Upon the impact, Budko experienced excruciating pain. He immediately realized he had lost his lower limbs.
"It's an insane pain. I can't even describe it; it felt like hell. I knew right away that I had lost my legs because such pain can only occur when they're gone, " he shared.
Struggling with Phantom Pains
Despite being administered serious painkillers and spinal anesthesia, nothing alleviated his agony.
"You lie there, endure, don't sleep, don't eat, don't walk. They keep performing surgeries on you. It was pure hell. At that moment, I wasn't thinking about what to do next. All I wanted was for the pain to stop, " Budko added.
The Road to Recovery
Budko's journey to recovery has been arduous, marked by phantom pains that persisted for over two months. His resilience and determination to move forward despite the unbearable pain are nothing short of heroic.
