Olena Shoptenko on the relationship with Dikusar and lessons from Zelensky: exclusive details

Choreographer Olena Shoptenko, who currently lives in Vienna with her son, shared interesting details from her life and relationship with her ex-husband. In an interview, she said that from time to time she keeps in touch with Dmytro Dikusar, who has been fighting in the ranks of the Armed Forces since March 2022.

Communication with Dmytro Dikusar: rare contacts

Shoptenko noted that she sometimes wonders how he is doing, but they don't talk often. Olena learns more information about him from Dmytro's closest friend.

"From time to time I wonder how he is doing. And so is he. But I won't say that we communicate often. I learn more not even from him, but from his closest friend, who talks to him more often. God grant that Dmytro everything was fine. You know, I'm not surprised that he went to the front as a volunteer. I think he's absolutely in his place now, " Olena assured.

Victory on "Dancing with the Stars" with Volodymyr Zelensky

Olena also recalled her performances on the TV show "Dancing with the Stars" in 2006, where she and Volodymyr Zelenskyi won. At the time, she was only 17 years old, and the producers were skeptical of her teaching abilities.

"When I came to the casting for "Dancing with the Stars", I was 17 years old. Due to my age, the producers were a little skeptical of me. They did not believe that such a young girl could teach someone to dance. But when he came to me for a trial lesson Volodymyr Zelenskyi, we talked, the questions were removed."

Zelensky listened well to Elena and was always grateful for her efforts. She also learned a lot from him, including that making people cry is much more difficult than making them laugh. She uses this lesson in her choreographic career to this day.

Relationship to Vlad Yama and knee injury

Shoptenko also expressed her position regarding the departure of Vlad Yama to the USA at the beginning of a full-scale invasion. She noted that everyone makes their own choice and does not think it is right to criticize or condemn someone for it.

Regarding her injury at the end of March, Olena said that she tore two knee ligaments, but has been undergoing rehabilitation for a long time and shows how she is getting back in shape.
