In a surprising revelation, Pavlo Zibrov, a celebrated People's Artist of Ukraine, has shed light on the pension disparities among Ukraine's famed performers. While Zibrov enjoys a modest pension of about 8, 500 UAH, his colleagues experience varying financial realities.

Pension Paradox: A Look into the Financial Lives of Ukrainian Stars

Zibrov candidly shared that fellow performer Alla Kudlai receives a pension that is 1, 000 UAH more, whereas Ivan Popovych manages on even less. This financial revelation underscores a critical point: no state titles or professional acclaim can sway the pension calculations.

"Around 8, 500 UAH. Some are surprised, but I must say, Ivan Popovych gets even less, and Alla Kudlai gets a thousand more, " Zibrov explained.

Simple Living: Zibrov Embraces a Humble Lifestyle

Despite the limited pension, Zibrov doesn't complain. He finds solace in the simple life, cherishing his garden and orchard on the outskirts of Kyiv. "I have a garden. Near my country house, there's a patch of potatoes, beets, carrots, onions. I have a wonderful orchard, and I love to prune, fertilize, and harvest it, " he shares with a hint of pride.

Commitment to Music During Trying Times

Interestingly, Zibrov isn't contemplating retirement. He believes that during wartime, working diligently is of utmost importance. Currently, he relies solely on his pension, having no additional income streams, as most of his concerts are for charity.

"How can I not work? Tell me, what should I do? Sit on the couch, and watch while the war ends? We need to work!"

This candid conversation not only highlights the financial struggles of beloved Ukrainian artists but also their unwavering commitment to their art and community.
