Farewell to a legend: Khrystyna Trach, the leading ballerina of the Lviv Opera, has passed away

Khrystyna Trach, Honored Artist of Ukraine and ballet soloist of the Lviv National Theater of Opera and Ballet named after Solomia Krushelnytska, passed away suddenly on June 13, 2024. She was only 44 years old.

A life devoted to ballet

Khrystyna Trach began her ballet career as a student at the Lviv State School of Culture and Arts. She quickly gained recognition thanks to her excellent stage skills and virtuoso technique. Her repertoire included more than 20 solo parts, including such iconic roles as Nikia, Gamzatti, Kitri, Mistress of the Dryads from "Baladera" and "Don Quixote", Giselle and Odette-Odilia.

Farewell to the artist

The cause of death of the ballerina is currently not disclosed. Farewell to Khrystyna Trach will take place on June 15 at 10: 00 a.m. in the lobby of the Lviv National Opera. Colleagues and fans will have the opportunity to pay tribute to the talented artist who devoted her whole life to the art of ballet.

The loss of Christina Trach is a great loss for the world of ballet and all those who appreciated her talent and skill. Her contribution to the development of Ukrainian ballet will forever remain in the hearts of fans.
