Stefan Higa’s rise to fame was far from a fairy tale. Despite the setbacks he faced during his youth, Higa's relentless perseverance finally led him to the Uzhhorod Musical College after three unsuccessful attempts. Little did the world know then, this young man would go on to finish the Kyiv Conservatory and face the decision of a lifetime.

Stefan was offered a position at the Kyiv Opera and Ballet Theatre or a chance to live in a spacious apartment while working in Lutsk's Philharmonic. Yet, defying all expectations, Higa chose to return to his beloved Transcarpathia. "My heart has always belonged to my roots, " Higa humbly shares.

His first marriage brought him his daughter, Kvyitoslava, while his second, to bandura player Halyna, expanded his family further. Together, they share a son, also named Stefan Higa, who released his first album at the tender age of 14.

As Kvyitoslava's songs feature on Stefan's albums and young Daniel, Kvyitoslava’s son, joins the family on stage, the Higa legacy is secure for generations to come.
