Maxim Kozytskyi's Surprising Split: A 20-Year Marriage Ends in Divorce
In a surprising twist, Maxim Kozytskyi, the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, has officially parted ways with his wife Oksana after a two-decade-long relationship. The decision, finalized by the Lychakiv District Court in Lviv on March 18, marks the end of an era for the couple who first tied the knot in 2004.
The Unseen Struggles Behind Closed Doors
Despite their long history together, the couple faced increasing challenges that ultimately led to this decisive moment. According to court documents, Kozytskyi initiated the divorce proceedings, citing a lack of mutual understanding and differing views on familial responsibilities as irreconcilable issues.
"Reconciliation is impossible. The plaintiff noted the absence of mutual understanding and differing perspectives on family relations and duties. He insists on the divorce, which is a considered step, " states the document.
Interestingly, both Maxim and Oksana opted not to attend the court hearing, leaving the judge to make a decision in their absence.
A Bittersweet Chapter Comes to a Close
Their story, which began with a wedding in 2004, included the joy of raising their daughter Sofia. However, the family was struck by tragedy when their son Zinoviy passed away last July after a prolonged illness. This event may have played a role in the relationship's dynamics, though neither party has publicly commented on the divorce.
Financial Repercussions and New Beginnings
In the settlement, Oksana received two apartments in Lviv, a parking space, and a 2021 Audi Q5, marking a new chapter in her life. While the material division may seem straightforward, the emotional ramifications of such a split are often more complex.
What's Next for Kozytskyi?
As Kozytskyi moves forward, the question remains: how will this personal upheaval affect his professional role and public image? Only time will tell if this transition leads to new beginnings or further challenges.
