Ruslana calls to save homeless animals: stories from the Carpathians
The sensational address of the famous Ukrainian singer Ruslana, who not only makes music, but also actively advocates for animal rights, shook social networks. On her Instagram page, Ruslana shared a personal story that became the leitmotif of her call to Ukrainians: to help homeless animals suffering as a result of the war.
A story that touches the heart
On the day when the world remembers the need to protect animals, Ruslana revealed a story about her dog named Chudo. She found him in the Carpathians, when he was wandering the streets defenseless. Despite the difficulties, the singer did not leave him and took him home. "Miracle" became not only a part of her family, but also a symbol of hope for many homeless animals.
"At one time, I took him straight from the street in the Carpathians. After that, I sheltered three more dogs from the street in the same way. The cat also came to us from the street, deciding to live with us. That's how we live. And honestly, I can't imagine my life without them"
- she shared in the post.
How to help: steps to change
Ruslana not only tells stories, but also offers concrete steps to help. She calls for support for the @shelter_domivka initiative, which takes care of homeless animals, and offers various ways to participate: visiting the charitable "Bazaar of Good" in Lviv, sheltering an animal from a shelter or making a charitable contribution.
The greatness of the nation through the prism of kindness
At the end of her address, the singer reminded of the importance of humane treatment of animals, quoting the wise words of Mahatma Gandhi:
"The greatness and moral progress of a nation can be measured by how it treats its animals."
Ruslana proves that it is possible to be indifferent in any situation, and calls on Ukrainians to unite in a humanitarian mission. This call can be the beginning of a new era in the treatment of animals in Ukraine.
