Brykulets Refuses Kalush Orchestra's Offer: A Bold Move in Ukrainian Music
In a surprising twist in the Ukrainian music scene, rising star Brykulets has turned down an offer from none other than Oleg Psiuk, the leader of the famed Kalush Orchestra. This revelation has set tongues wagging across the industry, leaving fans and experts alike to speculate on the implications of such a bold decision.
A Rising Star's Dilemma
Brykulets has been making waves with his innovative tracks and distinctive style. His music has captivated audiences, leading to increasing recognition. This momentum certainly caught the eye of Oleg Psiuk, who saw potential in Brykulets and approached him with a proposition to become his producer.
"A guy from Myrhorod releases four songs, and on the very same day, the 'pink panama' reaches out to him, " Brykulets revealed in an interview.
Initially, it seemed like a match made in heaven. However, as with all stories of the music world, complications lurked beneath the surface.
A Contractual Crossroad
Brykulets, despite his initial excitement, found himself at a crossroads. After delving into the proposed contract, he realized that the terms were not aligned with his artistic vision and independence.
"You immediately say 'yes, ' but then an hour or two passes, and you start reading the contract and wonder, why do I need this?" he confessed.
This insight into the often-hidden world of music contracts paints a vivid picture of the challenges artists face in maintaining their autonomy.
Independent Path with a Storied Past
Remarkably, Brykulets chooses to continue without a producer, focusing on self-promotion and creative freedom. This decision is even more striking considering his background. A few years ago, Brykulets found himself in the Czech Republic, working to earn money for investing in cryptocurrency.
"I went to the Czech Republic to work, grind windows, doors, to earn money for cryptocurrency, " he shared.
The full-scale invasion in Ukraine altered his plans, leading him to pursue a career in music instead. His story is a testament to resilience and adaptability, qualities that will undoubtedly serve him well as he navigates the often tumultuous waters of the music industry.
