The son of famous Hollywood actors Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, Levon Hawke is making his first steps into the world of theater as a director. His debut production entitled "Movie Day" promises to be the event of the year.

From acting to directing

Levon Hawke has always been in the spotlight thanks to his star parents, but now he's decided to step out of their shadow and create something of his own. After successful roles in the films "Blink Twice" and "Hush", where he starred alongside Peter Dinklage and Juliet Lewis, Levon took up a new challenge - directing.

Premiere of "Movie Day"

"Movie Day" premieres at Coffey Street Studios in Brooklyn on September 20 and runs through October 6. It is also the first full-length play for the Quick & Dirty Theater Company, which was founded last year by artistic director Booth McGowan.

Plot and themes

The plot is based on five roommates who face personal revelations during one day. The production explores themes of identity, sexuality and the complexities of modern friendship.

This is just the beginning for a young talent who, without a doubt, has every chance to become a new star of modern theater.
