Catherine tries to find the person behind the fictitious name of the author. Meanwhile, her past begins to destroy her present life and her relationship with her husband Robert (Sacha Baron Cohen) and son Nicholas (Cody Smith-McPhee).

It is impossible not to mention the fantastic team that worked on the project. "Disclaimer" was directed by Alfonso Cuaron himself. His regular colleague Emmanuel Lubecki is responsible for cinematography, and two-time Oscar winner Phineas O'Connell wrote the music.
