The 81st International Film Festival has started in Venice, and this year it promises to be a real epicenter of star-studded events. Angelina Jolie has already flown to Italy to present her new picture "Maria Callas", but her ex-husband Brad Pitt will appear on the Lido in just a few days.

A star-breeding schedule

The organizers of the festival implemented a unique schedule to prevent meetings between former partners. Alberto Barbera, artistic director of the Venice Film Festival, explained this decision by taking into account the strained relationship between Jolie and Pitt.

"Angelina will arrive on the first day, Thursday, August 29, and immediately after will go with "Maria" director Pablo Larraín to the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado. And Brad will not arrive in Venice until Saturday. There is no way they will be able to cross paths at the Lido." Barbera said.

Premieres and expectations

At the festival, Angelina will present the film "Maria Callas", in which she played the main role. Meanwhile, Brad Pitt is taking Lone Wolves to Venice, where he co-starred with George Clooney. The organizers and the actors themselves did not ask for a change in the schedule, but it is clear that everything possible was done to avoid potentially awkward moments.

History of relationships and divorce

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were married from 2014 to 2019. After their divorce, the Chateau Miraval winery remains the main subject of legal proceedings. The actors have six children, three of whom are adopted: 19-year-old Zahara, 22-year-old Maddox and 20-year-old Pax, and three are biological: 18-year-old Shiloh and 15-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. It is interesting that all Pitt's daughters refused his surname.

Summary and forecasts

This year's festival in Venice promises to be full not only of film premieres, but also of dramatic moments behind the scenes. The strained relationship between Jolie and Pitt adds intrigue to this event, which has already attracted the attention of the world press. It remains to be seen how the events will develop and whether the organizers will manage to avoid dramatic meetings.
