The Eurovision Song Contest 2025 is set to showcase a surprising twist as Austria's dynamic sibling duo, Abor & Tynna, will be representing Germany. The pair, consisting of Attila and Tünde Bornemisza, are ready to captivate the audience with their song "Baller, " a track that delves into the emotional aftermath of a lost love.

A Musical Journey from Vienna

Growing up in a musical family in Vienna, with their father, Csaba Bornemisza, performing as a cellist for the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra since 1993, it was almost destined that music would play a central role in the lives of Attila and Tünde. By 2016, the duo made their first foray into the music world, catching the attention of producers after their mother shared their debut song on Facebook.

Their journey did not stop there. Slowly but surely, Abor & Tynna have been making waves, performing in cities like Berlin and Hannover, and even supporting Nina Chuba on her tour in 2024. With their unique blend of electropop and rap, they carved out a niche that set them apart.

The Road to Eurovision

Taking a leap of faith, the duo entered the German national selection competition, Chefsache ESC 2025 — Wer singt für Deutschland. From over 3, 000 applications, Abor & Tynna emerged victorious, securing their spot with 34.9% of the public vote. Their song "Baller" not only caught the ear of legendary music producer Stefan Raab, but also wowed judges who described it as the "most modern song of Eurovision 2025."

A Language Milestone

"Baller" is set to make history as the first German-language song to represent Germany at Eurovision since 2007. With Attila on the cello and Tünde showcasing her vocal prowess, the performance is expected to be a highlight of the competition. The song has already topped the Spotify chart, amassing over two million streams.

With such a compelling backdrop, all eyes will be on Abor & Tynna as they take the stage in Basel, Switzerland, on May 17, 2025. This is one performance you won't want to miss.
