In a dramatic twist in the world of Ukrainian music, singer SoloHa has stirred quite the controversy after failing to make it onto the national selection list for Eurovision 2025.

A Dream Deferred: SoloHa's Eurovision Journey

SoloHa, known for her charisma and energetic performances, invested heavily in her Eurovision bid this year, submitting not one but two songs. Despite her efforts and significant financial investment, she was notably absent from the longlist released in early December. The artist's disappointment quickly turned into public outcry, as she questioned the fairness of the selection process.

Questioning the Selection: Accusations Fly

SoloHa did not hold back in her criticism, particularly pointing fingers at the judging panel, including famed producer Tina Karol. She accused the selection committee of favoritism, alleging that some artists on the list lacked the productivity she demonstrated throughout the year.

"I wanted to know why some people (made it to the longlist). For instance, there's KHAYAT. He's tried three times on the national stage. Why? The band Ziferblat – twice. They released one song. Who's behind them? Who's producing them? Should I say: 'Tina Karol, adopt me?!'" she remarked sharply on M1.

Dismay and Determination: SoloHa's Resolve

Despite the setback, SoloHa remains undeterred. She expressed her intent to continue pursuing her Eurovision dream, hoping for a more transparent selection process in the future. "Life goes on, " she stated with determination, indicating that she might submit again next year under potentially different rules or jury.

This incident sheds light on the often opaque nature of the music industry, where talent and ambition sometimes clash with unseen forces and connections. As Eurovision fever continues to grip nations, SoloHa’s story serves as a reminder of the challenges artists face behind the glitz and glamour.
