The entertainment world is abuzz once again as Ryan Reynolds finds himself entangled in a controversy over a deleted scene from his latest film, "Deadpool and Wolverine." The scene has ignited a debate, with Justin Baldoni's legal representative, Brian Friedman, accusing Reynolds of making a thinly-veiled reference to Baldoni during a recent interview.

Reynolds' Controversial Scene Raises Eyebrows

The controversy erupted on Tuesday when Friedman, during an interview, argued that the scene displayed "disrespectful" treatment of a serious issue. He remarked:

"If your wife is facing sexual harassment, you cannot make light of it or joke about the situation. It's far too significant a matter."

Social media users were quick to dissect the scene, particularly highlighting a conversation between a character played by Blake Lively and Deadpool outside a flower shop. This dialogue was interpreted as a nod to Lively's role as a florist in the film "It Ends With Us."

Lively's Legal Battle and Allegations

In December 2024, Lively filed a complaint against a colleague for sexual harassment, a move that came shortly after the film's release. She further accused Baldoni and his team of orchestrating a smear campaign against her via social media platforms.

In her legal filing submitted on December 31 to a federal court in New York, Lively claimed that her reputation was under attack due to a defamatory campaign. Baldoni's attorney dismissed these allegations, labeling them as "untrue."

Baldoni's Legal Countermeasures

On the same day, Baldoni filed a lawsuit against a major publication for what he perceived as "aggressive" and inaccurate coverage of Lively's complaint. Friedman's statement that Baldoni might pursue legal action against Lively further adds to the ongoing drama.

For now, Reynolds remains silent, choosing not to comment on these developments. However, his recent appearance at the National Board Awards, where he was seen smiling, suggests he is unperturbed by the controversy.
