It would seem that why Ukrainian producers choose Russian actors for the main roles, when there are so many talented artists in Ukraine? The answer may shock you: money. As Vishneva explains, many joint projects were financed by Russian investors who demanded the presence of their actors in the frame, even if they did not have the necessary skills or experience.

Disrespect and alcohol: how guests from Russia behaved

Kateryna says that young Russian actors often showed contempt for their Ukrainian colleagues, trying to emphasize their superiority. Senior colleagues from Russia, on the contrary, adhered to professional ethics. However, the worst was with alcohol: the actors from the Russian Federation did not hesitate to appear on the site in a drunken state, creating additional problems for the team.

"Especially the 'zealous' were pumped with droppers, " recalls Vishneva.

Now that Ukraine has decided to get rid of the negative influence of Russian artists, the question arises: how will this affect the future of Ukrainian cinema? Vishneva hopes to return to work with domestic talents who deserve recognition and respect.
