In a surprising turn of events, controversial Ukrainian blogger Alexander Voloshyn has announced a hiatus from social media, citing a growing dependence that he feels has spiraled out of control.

Navigating Personal Turmoil

Voloshyn, who has been vocal about his struggles with substance abuse, including alcohol and drugs, recently shared a candid reflection on how these habits have affected his life and appearance. Since relocating abroad last year, the influencer disclosed that he has been experiencing one of the most challenging periods of his life, leading to an increase in harmful behaviors.

"Never would I have imagined this phase in my life, " Voloshyn confessed on Instagram, "but what doesn't kill us makes us stronger."

The influencer's decision to step back from the digital realm comes after realizing the impact that incessant scrolling and posting had on his mental health. Voloshyn admitted that although he managed to quit cannabis a month ago, detaching from platforms like Instagram and TikTok was far more challenging.

Embracing Change: A New Chapter

Voloshyn's withdrawal from social media is not a complete disconnect. He plans to continue sharing content, albeit less frequently, and will avoid engaging with other users to curb his addiction. His strategy includes deleting and reinstalling Instagram only when necessary.

"If I could give up cannabis and feel no longing for it, why not tackle my social media habits too?" he pondered, adding that TikTok has already been removed from his device for over two weeks.

Through this journey, Voloshyn hopes to focus on personal recovery and growth, underscoring his determination to overcome these hurdles not just for himself but also for his family. His commitment is evident as he gears up to release a podcast with his mother and conclude a giveaway event before scaling back his online presence.
