Scandalous performance: Will Oleg Kenzov sing with Putinists in Germany?

Ukrainian singer Oleg Kenzov is preparing to perform in Germany on the same stage with Russian artists who support the dictatorial regime of Vladimir Putin. This news has already caused a wave of indignation among the Ukrainian public.

Dzhigan and other Russian artists

According to the posters of one of the German clubs, among the participants of the event there will be many Russians, including the former Odessa player Dzhigan. It is known that he not only did not condemn the war in Ukraine, but also actively supports Putin and received a Russian passport.

Oleh Kenzov's clear pro-Ukrainian position

At the beginning of the Russian Federation's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Oleg Kenzov chose a clear pro-Ukrainian position. He addressed the Russian audience, talking about the shelling of the civilian population and explaining that Ukrainians do not need "rescue" from the Russian army.

"We do not need rescue, especially from those who are themselves aggressors, " Kenzov said in his addresses.

Volunteer activity at the beginning of the war

In the first months after the invasion, Kenzov was engaged in volunteering: he furnished basements for shelter, bought food for the needy, and delivered humanitarian aid to the de-occupied territories of Kyiv region. This activity caused respect and support among Ukrainians. However, in October 2023 it became known that during the war the artist left the country and continues to release songs in Russian and tour Europe.

Past performances with Russian artists

This is not the first time when Oleg Kenzov interacts with Russian artists. In May, he already performed at a music festival in Germany together with Putinist Seryoga and Misha Marvin. These events raise the question of how sincere his pro-Ukrainian statements and actions were.
