Outbreak of indignation: a parody of Yanukovych from "Kvartal 95"
Ukrainian humorists from the Kvartal 95 studio are again in the spotlight. This time, they presented a new number, which caused a stream of outraged comments on social networks. During the full-scale war in Ukraine, comedians dared to make fun of the fugitive former president Viktor Yanukovych, which immediately divided the opinions of the audience.
Oleksandr Pikalov as Yanukovych
The video with the scene was published on the official page of "Quarter 95" on Instagram. Actor Oleksandr Pikalov, who portrayed Yanukovych, together with Yury Krapov, who played the role of a Ukrainian language tutor, created an unexpected duet. Host Yevhen Koshovy emphasized that Pikalov's hero decided to learn the Ukrainian language, although before he understood only "ostrich".
"He who before that only understood ostrich decided to learn the Ukrainian language, " the actors of "Quarter 95" captioned the video.
Hate and criticism in social networks
Immediately after the publication, the comments on the "Quarter 95" page were filled with critical feedback. Users expressed their dissatisfaction with the fact that humorists continue their activities during the war.
"It's not funny at all. The quarter has always made fun of the current government. Yiiii??? We're waiting! We can't wait!"
"Kvartal" are the first traitors of Ukraine"
"When will you replenish the ranks of the Armed Forces?"
Such comments create an atmosphere of conflict and growing hate around comedians. During the last time, the public is increasingly dissatisfied with the activities of the studio, especially in the conditions of war.
Why does "Kvartal 95" not stop?
Despite the pressure and criticism, the actors of "Quarter 95" continue to share their numbers with the audience. Their position is clear: humor is a means of maintaining the spirit of the nation, even in the most difficult moments. But will their followers agree?
What's next?
It is difficult to predict how the situation around "Kvartal 95" will develop. At the same time, they evoke both love and hatred of the audience. This is just the beginning of a new phase in their career, when every step is under the microscope of the public and critics.
