Svyatoslav Vakarchuk met with machine gunner Oksana "Ksena" Rubanyak on the front line
Ukrainian writer and machine gunner from Ivano-Frankivsk region Oksana "Ksena" Rubanyak, who serves in the 72nd mechanized brigade named after the Black Zaporozhets, recently met with the leader of the band "Ocean Elsa" Svyatoslav Vakarchuk. They happily took a photo together, and the artist shared this shot on Instagram.
The importance of frontline meetings
Xena, also known as the "warrior princess", shared her thoughts on the importance of such meetings:
"I sincerely look forward to meetings with friends and comrades when I am on combat duty. This is an opportunity to breathe in civilian life and see those I love."
Vakarchuk also shared his impressions of the meeting, emphasizing the inspiration he receives from acquaintances at the front:
"My trips to the front have one advantage: they give me the opportunity to get to know people who inspire me. I will say frankly that there are much more such people at the front than outside. One of them is Oksana Rubanyak, nicknamed "Xena". The writer, who became a warrior. With such people you want to go forward to Victory."
Vakarchuk's contribution to the support of the Armed Forces
Svyatoslav did not come to the front line empty-handed. Oksana Rubanyak expressed her gratitude to the singer for helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Such gestures of support of famous personalities add fighting spirit to our soldiers.
Meetings with prominent personalities
A month ago, Oksana also had the opportunity to meet the legendary Lina Kostenko, to whom she showed her poetry collection "Towards Death". Such meetings not only raise morale, but also demonstrate the unity of the nation in difficult times.
A look at civilian life
The healing moments when military personnel can see loved ones, friends, or even celebrities are priceless. They allow you to feel the taste of civilian life, at least for a short time, and remind you of what they are fighting for.
