Ukrainian theater and film actor Taras Tsymbalyuk shared his impressions of Yuriy Vinnychuk's book "Pears in the Dough" on his Instagram. Tsymbalyuk noted that this is one of the best biographical novels, which made him not only laugh out loud, but also remember his bright student years.

Frankness, humor and nostalgia are the main accents

The actor noted that Ukrainian literature has a wide range of talents, and we still don't know many of them. Tsymbalyuk described the book as a story about love for the most valuable thing in a young man's life - from girls and adventures to his favorite business and life in general.

"This book is about love for the most valuable thing in a young man's life: desire for girls, for adventure, love for a favorite thing... about love for life... of course, a little alcohol and dark humor... and about like-minded people around ( damn it, how important it is...)" - Taras Tsymbalyuk shared his impressions.

A book that conveys the flavor of the Soviet Union in Western Ukraine

Tsymbalyuk also emphasized that the book perfectly conveys the atmosphere of Soviet Lviv: language and expressions that blew the actor's roof, allegories and comparisons that caused laughter. He noted that the book was a real discovery for him, and he is glad that it was written by a Ukrainian writer.

"Here, the vibe of Lviv sounded completely different for me...: in a new way! Wonderful Zapaden flavor! Or, as they say, madness, even... Language and expressions sometimes blew the roof off my roof...: straight through I'm sick of those turnovers, comparisons and allegories, " Tsymbalyuk noted.

Ukrainian product - at the level of world content

The actor emphasized that he was tired of the cliché that Ukrainian products are worse than foreign ones. Tsymbalyuk urges to get acquainted with Ukrainian literature, which is not inferior in quality to world content.

"So, in order to "remove" from today's news and not go cuckoo, I recommend, for example, this book, " the Ukrainian actor concluded.
