The father of Hollywood actor Tom Hardy, Edward Hardy, joined in writing the screenplay for the film adaptation of the biography of the British soldier Sean Pinner "Live. Fight. Survive". This book tells about the difficult journey of a British soldier who was captured during the defense of Mariupol.

History of heroism and courage

Sean Pinner's biography, which is being screened by the British-Ukrainian production company United Heroes, is a true testimony of courage and indomitability. After marrying a Ukrainian woman in 2018, Pinner joined the military and became a sniper instructor. At the beginning of the war, he found himself on the front line, defending Mariupol, where he was captured by the Russians, where he was held for several months.

"Initially, I intended to tell about how Ukrainian prisoners are tortured and treated, as well as to highlight the suffering caused by Russia's illegal and unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, " commented Pinner, the author of the book.

The Hardy Family Collaboration

Edward Hardy, known for his work with son Tom Hardy, such as the BBC/FX series Taboo, has now embarked on a new project. He will work on the screenplay for the film adaptation of Pinner's book. It is important to note that the title of the book "Live. Fight. Survive" comes from a phrase his wife said to him in the last call before his capture.

The meaning of the tape and its influence

The screen adaptation of Sean Pinner's biography promises to be a powerful reminder of the suffering of the Ukrainian people and the heroism shown by Ukrainian and international soldiers. It is also another step in highlighting the horrors of war and the torture suffered by prisoners.

"The genocide committed by Russia in such cities as Bucha, Irpin, and my native Mariupol, no one has the right to forget, and I hope that my story will add to the understanding of what is really happening in Ukraine, " Sean Pinner emphasized.

Thanks to the participation of Edward Hardy in writing the script, the film promises to be not only exciting, but also deeply emotional and truly influential.
