Anxiety, sadness and Koloah track in Apache CREW dance video. Look it up
The dance team Apache CREW, known for participating in the videos of Jamala and MONATIK, has released a beautiful video with dancing to the track of Kiev electronic engineer Koloah. We learned from Svetlana Aparin, who, together with Anatoly Sachivko, is the director of the video, what all this means.
That morning light, then winter outside the window, an abandoned pool and a couple dancing in it under a pulsating track on the verge of drama - Phenix Polyth from Koloah. It looks like the last people on Earth meet the post-apocalyptic world in dance.
But in reality, everything is a little different. The video director talked about the process of creating a work and what it means.
About the birth of an idea
“I work as an operator, and I can’t help but shoot for a long time. It was one of those periods. I wrote to League Ryabinin, one of the Apache CREW members, and we met, a little bit of a grind, and it all started spinning. Next time we met three together with Tolik Sachivko, the head of Apache CREW, in the rehearsal room.
In fact, this is the result of a huge desire of a gang of like-minded people to implement a creative project. When you burn with something, you rush forward, and everything is possible, but if it were not for my friends and their help, there would be nothing. "
Why did you get the track Koloah
“I knew that Tolik Sachivko was friends with Koloah, and I go to his concerts and listen to his music in a car. Of our artists, it should have been definitely him.
Tolik came to one of the rehearsals and brought his chosen track, in all three there was a clear understanding that he was ideally suited to what was happening in the dance! Well, my friend Dasha Zakharova - producer, said: how cool to shoot a clip on a cool track. It is important for me to approve people whose taste I trust. "
About what this video means
“A clip about how precarious and sometimes illusory our relations with those around us can be. Or is it the person you held a hand a minute ago? Are they really here or it seemed to us, or did our invention fall apart in a couple of seconds? This probably has a hidden meaning. "
about the most important
“Many friends at the time of the shooting were busy with what they usually do not do. At first I was worried about this, and then my friend Pasha Kovtun, the director himself, told me to take less steam and think more about the project. I made one big and good conclusion from this shoot: if there is a desire, then everything is possible. ”
