Ukrainian actress Olga Zhukovtsova, known for her role in the series "Sluga Narodu", has shared a harrowing story from her childhood that has left many in shock. In a recent interview, Zhukovtsova opened up about a traumatic event that occurred when she was just three years old.
A Night of Horror
The actress recalled a night that changed her life forever. Her father, in a state of extreme intoxication, attempted to kill her mother and then himself. Zhukovtsova described waking up to find her mother severely injured beside her.
"I woke up, and the bed was covered in blood. He had cut my mother's abdomen and slashed her veins. She was lying next to me, " Zhukovtsova recounted.
A Desperate Escape
Despite her critical injuries, Zhukovtsova's mother managed to crawl to a neighbor's house and call for help. Both parents ended up in the hospital, lying in adjacent rooms. The mother underwent a complex surgery, as one of her arteries had been severed. This incident marked the end of their tumultuous marriage.
A New Beginning
Following the traumatic event, Zhukovtsova's father moved to Estonia to be with his lover, leaving her mother to rebuild her life. She eventually found love again and started anew. However, the scars of those dark times have left a lasting impact on Zhukovtsova.
"My mother was raised by a despotic grandfather, which might have affected her self-esteem and subsequent life choices, " Zhukovtsova reflected. "She was constantly told she wasn't good enough."
Life After Trauma
Today, Zhukovtsova has no contact with either of her parents. Despite the painful memories, she has risen above her past and carved out a successful career in acting. Her story is a testament to resilience and the human spirit's ability to overcome even the most harrowing experiences.
